Footwear Buyer of the year - Drapers Footwear Awards
Open to footwear buyers working for a retailer or pureplay etailer operating in the UK & Irish market. Entrants will be required to attend an interview with the judging panel on the 26th April.

Criteria against which you will be judged:
- Evidence of a strong buying strategy and plan for growth
- Clear understanding of the customer
- Comprehensive market knowledge
- Innovative personality that doesn’t follow the crowd
- Talent to spot new brands and take calculated risks
- Proven buying success resulting in increased sales
- Great team player and staff developer
- Passion for the role, the business and the industry
- How the individual has made an impact on the business
What to include in your entry:
- Financial performance over the past 12 months (split by store vs online and UK vs international)
- Outline buying strategy and detail plans to achieve it
- Evidence of a strong product mix in terms of value, quality and relevance to market
- Provide links, images, and videos (QuickTime) where appropriate to support your entry
- Outline why you are better than your competitors and deserve to win
- Provide a comprehensive brand list with any new brands in the last 12 months highlighted
